The short version

Consumer health data
Your hospital bill can contain health information. Here is exactly how we handle it.
What we collect
- The bill text you paste and the bill files (PDFs or photos) you upload.
How we use it
- Bill text and files are used only to run your scan.
Where it's processed
- Our AI features run through Lovable's AI gateway (Lovable AB), which sends what you submit (for example bill text or images, or interview notes) to an AI model provider such as Google, OpenAI or Anthropic to produce your result. We have turned off Lovable's setting that keeps full AI requests; Lovable keeps only a short record of each request (time, model and size, not the content). The model provider may keep content for a limited time for abuse monitoring, often about 30 days and longer if its safety systems flag it. Lovable states this data is not used to train AI models. Our own copy of your uploaded bill files is deleted 30 days after upload. We don't save your scan results.
What we never do
- We never sell your health or billing information.
- We never use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Uploaded files are stored encrypted in private storage and automatically deleted after 30 days. Pasted text is not saved.
- You can withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your bill at any time by emailing info@roofusventures.com.
Nurse review orders
If you order a nurse review, the registered nurse who does it can see your bill and the documents you upload. They use them only for your review and keep them confidential. We keep your order (name, hospital, the last 4 digits of your account number, the review note and the letter) for 12 months after delivery, then delete it, except payment records. Your uploaded files are still deleted 30 days after upload.
If something goes wrong
If a breach of your health information happens, we'll notify you and the FTC as the law requires.

Bills you scan
When you upload a PDF or photo, we store the file in private, access-restricted storage. Files are encrypted at rest and deleted automatically 30 days after upload. Pasted text is processed for your scan and not stored.
To run the scan, your bill's contents are sent to our AI processing provider. They are used only to produce your results.
Abuse prevention
To limit misuse of the free scan, we keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your network address for about a day. It is not used to identify or track you.
Payments
When you pay, Stripe processes your payment and gives us your name, email, the amount and the last 4 digits of your card. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the card details you give it. We keep payment records for 7 years for tax and accounting.
What we don't do
- No analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies.
- No selling or renting your information.
- No accounts or profiles.
Your choices
To ask us to delete an upload sooner, email info@roofusventures.com. Tell us the approximate date and time of your scan so we can find it.
